Built in 1961 by Philip & Sons Ltd., Dartmouth, #1321, for Pool Shipping Co. (managed by Ropner & Co., Port Victoria) later by the Government of The Republic of Seychelles.
Inter-Island-Ferry, Gt:114, Nt:49, Loa:27,44m. Lbpp:24,59m. B:6,56m. Depth:2,90m. Draught:1,66m. 2-4 cyl. Lister-Blackstone engines:450 hp. (331 kW.) 2 screws, 10½ kn. 1 hold, 1 derrick SWL:0,5 tons, IMO.5201623, callsign:S7IA.

10 August 1961 launched as the LADY ESME.
November 1961 completed.
