Lambda Type Fishing Boat

Lambda type fishing vessel with wooden hull oceangoing vessel built between 1965 and 1967 in Cuba.

Length; 23,17m, breadth; 6,25m, draught; 2,49m, tonnage; 107 tons, engine power; 1x250 bhp, Cargo spaces total cubic capacity; 45 cubic meters, Speed; 10.8 knots.

She was built more then 100 vessels of this design. Each unit is a mother vessel for several small fiberglas fishing vessels. But these vessels suspected of being interested in more than fishing by the Western World.

She was constructed of Cuban timber and ordinarily manned by an 11 man crew. The Lambdas are equipped with modern radar, communications and equipment for sounding the ocean depth and exploring the bottom. They have powerful engines and a range of nautical miles.
