Karlovac (Pusher Tug)

She was a pusher tug used in the lower Danube River by Yugoslavia in 1980s. She belongs to Yugoslav River Shipping Company- JRB.

She was one of the strongest tugs at that time with the engines of 3.061KW.

The pusher tug KARLOVAC named after the town Karlovac was built by the Tito yard (now Belgrade yard) in Belgrade, Yugoslavia for JRB Belgrade in 1981.
Dim. 40.31 x 13.1 height 2.8m. draught maximum 2.15m.
Powered by three diesel engines 2,050 kW, speed when she pushes 12 barges of each 1,700 ton dw, 14k/h.
She has one sister the KARADJORDJE. And at that time she were the strongest pusher tugs on the River Danube.
When pushing 12 barges the length is around 300 metre.
Used mostly in the lower Danube delta, the barges are mostly loaded with bulk cargo .

2017 Still in service, and under Servia flag and register.
