The yacht depict on this stamp issued by Nevis in 2008 is the Switzerland owned yacht of Team Alinghi with sail no SUI-75 as can be seen on the sail. She is one of the IACC class.
She was built in 2002 for the Alinghi Team for the 2003 America Cup Campaign.
Used only as a trial boat and never raced in the America cup by Team Alinghi.
2007 Bought by the British Team Origin as a challenger for the 33nd America Cup in Valencia with sail number GBR-75.
14 July 2007 was she used for the first time by the new owner in Valencia.
From 7 – 22 November 2008 took part in the Louis Vuitton Trophy at Nice, France, during four races she won 3 and lost one.
