For the 125th Anniversary of the Danish State Railway in 1972 the famous stamp engraver Czeslaw Slania (1921-2005) designed a stamp of 70 ore, which shows us the steam locomotor ODIN and a ferry of the DSB, I believe a ro-ro ferry built in the 1950/60s, the design of the ship is poorly made and impossible to make out which type of ship of the company is depict. In the lower part two travellers, the man clothing from 1847 the lady more modern.
The national railway operator of Denmark DSB was the main provider of domestic and international ferry services with train or passenger ferries linking Jylland, Fyn and Sjaelland and providing international connections to Germany and Sweden. DSB ceased operations in the ferry service in the 1998 which were taken over by the Scandlines Danmark A/S.
