Small square foresail and a square mainsail as seen on stamp on the two-masted barca’s. She was sometimes rowed.

The 16e stamp shows is a small open barca used on the upper Rio Lima in north-western Portugal and used for local fishing and ferrying. Flat bottom, straight raked stem, wide transom. Straight sides, flared towards the stern. Rowed with a single pair of oars.
