LONGONI PORT ON MAYOTTE ISLAND

This stamp shows us the Longoni Port which is situated in the north part of the Mayotte Island, one of the Comoros Archipelago, North of Madagascar.
It is a small port and the stamp shows us a red hulled container vessel loading or discharging. The vessel is till so far not identified. Near the stern is another small vessel a tug or fishing boat also not identified?
Mayotte in 1976 through a referendum, rejected the independence that the rest of the Comoros archipelago had accepted; another referendum held in 2009 turned the territory into an overseas department of France on 31 March 2011.
