ARRIVAL OF THE PORTUGUESE IN JAPAN - In 1542 Portuguese adventurers from Fuquiem in China, landed on the Japanese island of Tanegaxima, thus becoming the first Portuguese to arrive in Japan. The Portuguese presence in Japan was maintained for about a century, ending with the expulsion from the Japanese Empire in 1639.
During the presence, the Portuguese, called “Nanban” (barbarians from the South) converted more than 300,000 Japanese to the Catholic Faith and introduced diverse knowledge of evolutionary civilizations, such as maps and geographic maps and even firearms, especially shotguns.
Not any info on the boat depict, looks like a ship's boat bringing presents onshore.
