CENTENARY OF THE DEATH OF PRINCE ALBERT I and polar ship POURQUOI PAS ?

24 November 2022 Monaco issued a miniature sheet for the centenary of the death of Prince Albert I. The MS shows Prince Albert I and Charcot between them is the polar ship POURQUOI PAS I in the Antarctic, more info on the POURQUOI PAS I is given at: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=6001

Ten years after their first joint philatelic issue, the Principality of Monaco and the French Southern and Antarctic Lands will unveil, during MonacoPhil 2022, the block of their second joint issue honoring the centenary of the death of Prince Albert I. A visionary explorer, Albert I initiated the main oceanographic campaigns of the 19th century and spent nearly thirty years traveling the seas of the globe making major scientific discoveries. He supported the second French expedition to Antarctica (1908-1910) led by Commander Charcot aboard his ship the POURQUOI PAS?.
