Hüçük Hüseyin Pasha-Turkish admiral (1757)

Кüçük Hüseyin Pasha (1757 – 7 December 1803), also known as Tayazade Damat Küçük Hüseyin Pasha, was an Ottoman statesman and admiral who was Kapudan Pasha (Grand Admiral of the Ottoman Navy) from 11 March 1792 to 7 December 1803. He was a damat ("bridegroom") to the Ottoman dynasty after he married an Ottoman princess, Esma Sultan.
In 1798 he commanded the fighting against the Turkish-Balkan adventurer Osman Pazvantoğlu , who had seized power in the Sanjak of Vidin . In 1800 he tried to establish relations between the Ottoman Empire and the young United States .
Of Georgian birth, Küçük Hüseyin Pasha commanded the Ottoman navy, first against Mediterranean pirates and again during the French Revolutionary Wars. He was one of the signatories of the Capitulation of Alexandria (1801).
