The stamp is designed after a painting made by the Jersey painter Philip John Quless, and showed her off Cape Town probably 1847 or 1848.
Built as a wooden brig by Esnouf at Jersey for Edward Nicolle, also at Jersey.
March 1841launched under the name RAMBLER.
Tonnage 255 ton, with a length of 100.6ft.
Brig rigged.

She made her maiden voyage from Jersey to London and then from London to Buenos Aires.
In 1846 she made a voyage to Mauritius for sugar and in 1847 she sailed from London to Penang, for a cargo of rice.
Most probably after this voyage she was sold to Bennett & Co. of Bristol, in 1847 also re-rigged in a barque. Port of registry Bristol.
For her new owner she sailed from London to Brazil.
1852 Lengthened, her tonnage given as 296 tons.
In 1855 was the registered owner, W. Cook at Bristol, used in the West Indian trade.
In 1864 or 1865 sold to Mr. Stovell, who re-registered her at London.
1865 Undertook some damage repair and was then registered at 303 net tons, dim. 110.6 x 24.8 x 15.7ft.
In 1870 or 1871 she was sold to Mr. R. Colling who still owned her in 1876, but in 1877 or 1878 she came under the ownership of Mr. W. Smith who re-registered the barque at Hartlepool.
After 37 years of service she was broken up in 1878.
