The pennant No on the bow is 43 and it belongs to the Indian Coast Guard vessel SANGRAM one of the Samar Class of which 4 have been built for Indian account.

She was built by the Goa Shipyard Ltd., Goa for the Indian Coast Guard.
April 1990 the class was ordered.
1992 Laid down.
18 March 1995 launched under the name SANGRAM (43).
Displacement 1.765 tons standard, 2.005 tons full load., dim. 101.95 x 11.50 x 3.50m. (draught), length bpp. 96.00.
Powered by two Kirloskar-SEMT-Pielstick diesel engines, 12.800 shp., speed 22 knots maximum.
Range 7.000 miles by a speed of 15 knots.
Armament: 1 – 76mm gun and 2 – 7.62mmMG.
Carried 1 helicopter.
Crew 12 Off. and 112 enlisted.
29 March 1997 commissioned.

The class is built as an off-shore patrol vessel, and are used for the protection of the off-shore oil platforms and the Indian economic exclusion zone.
Can also be used for towage and salvage assistance and fire fighting and the control of pollution at sea.
