A motor trawler, the Bobby, of Ostend, registry number 0-251, is shown on this stamp above the coat-of-arms of that city. She was built in 1943 by S.A.B.A.R.N., of Quai Coiseau, Bruges, and is owned by Gustaaf Monteyne, 7, Rembrandtlaan, Le Coq sur Mer. The Bobby was the first Belgian fishing vessel to gain a place of honour on a stamp issue of that country.
