HMS. Daring, a 12-gun brig, 426 tons (ban.) originally ordered at Sheerness, but built at Portsmouth Dockyard in 1844. Armed with ten 32-pdr. guns and two 18-pdrs. Length 104 ft., beam 31 ft. She visited the Turks and Caicos Islands in 1855. Sold on October 7, 1864, to Castle, of Chariton, for breaking up.
