Bloodhound

The Grenada 60 c. stamp shows the British auxiliary yawl Bloodhound, owned by Mr. H. Coureau, of Southampton. She was built to I.R.C. 12-metre class requirements, and is part steel-framed. Her tonnages are 12.23 registered; 24.90 net; 34 gross. Length, Thames measurement 53 ft., overall length 63 ft. 2 in.; waterline 45 ft., breadth 12 ft. 5 in., draft 9ft. 3 in. and depth 8 ft. 5 in. Sail area is 1,565 sq. ft., made by Ratsey, 1967-68. The yacht was built by Camper and Nicholsons, Ltd., Gosport, in June 1936. She is copper fastened and has a 4-cylinder Perkins oil engine.
