ST GEORGE

Earlier in this century, on 24 February 1935, the local motor vessel ST GEORGE was returning to Choiseul from an enjoyable Sunday outing to Laborie when, being unstable due to overloading, she capsized in the swells off Balembouche with the resultant deaths of no less than 42 young persons.

She is not mentioned in Lloyds Register, most probably a very small vessel, more info on her is welcome.
