A Lombok sloop is the subject of the 5 cents denomination. This is an average - sized trading vessel of European design, representative of a large group of somewhat similar boats emanating from many parts of Indonesia. Formerly they, together with the palari, visited Singapore in large numbers and carried much of the merchandise between that port and the more isolated parts of the East Indies.
