Built as a gear-less bulk carrier under yard No 058 by Georgi Dimitrov, Varna, Bulgaria for Navigation Maritime Bulgare.
Launched under the name PETIMATA OT RMS.
Tonnage 23.103 grt., 14.922 net, 38.400dwt., dim. 201.59 x 27.87 x 11.19m., length bpp. 186 meter.
Powered by one 8-cyl Bryanski-B7W oil engine, 13.700hp., speed 14.5 knots.
Cargo capacity 45.814 cubic meter.
December 1978 completed.
Used world-wide in the transport of bulk cargo’s.
09 July 2004 she grounded on sand in the Great Belt, Denmark, in position 55 12N 11 06E she was loaded with 35.000 tons fertilizer from Ventspils to Santos, Brazil.
After discharging 6.800 tons of cargo in the cargo vessel APOLLOGRACHT and 1.000 tons of fuel in a tank lighter, the first attempt to refloat her was successful when the tugs MULTRARUG 7, MICHAEL and NORDSUND pulled her on 16 July of the sand.
She towed the PETIMATA OT RMS to the Kalundborg Fjord for a diver inspection, hardly any damage was found, and the PETIMATA OT RMS was allowed to enter the port of Kalundborg, where the discharged cargo and fuel were again taken on board.
18 July 2004 she resumed her voyage to Santos.
