A beautiful 85f. stamp shows a Comores Archipelago fishing schooner, a goelette, while other local craft depicted are sailing pirogues with balance boards, and an outrigger canoe of the area (50f. and 15f stamps respectively). Another very interesting craft, a boutre, which would appear to be a most unusual type of dhow with a built-up centre, appears on this stamp issue.
