The Leipzig Fair 15 pf stamp shows the prototype of the "Atlantic" series of fish factory ships, built by V.E.B. Volkswerft, at Stralsund, East Germany. Propelled by diesel-electric machinery developing 2,630 h.p. they have a speed of 16.6 knots and have a processing capacity of 80 tons per day, with a refrigerating capacity of 45 tons per day. It is planned to build 102 vessels of this type by 1970, mainly for the U.S.S.R.
