TAREQ class submarine

Which submarine is depict is unknown, but Iran has only three submarines, it must be one of the Tareq Class, all built as Kilo Class submarines by the United Admiralty Shipyard, St Petersburg, Russia for the Russian Navy.
After the disintegration of the Soviet Union in 1991 the three boats were bought by Iran.
TAREQ pennant No 901 was laid down as B-175.
24 September 1991 launched.
Delivered 25 December 1992, in service by the Iranian Navy on 21 November 1992.
Displacement 2.325 ton surface, 3.076 ton submerged, dim. 72.60 x 9.90 x 6.6m.
Powered by 2 type 2D-42 diesel generators sets each 1.825 bhp, connected to a electro motor, 5.900 shp. one propeller, speed surfaced 10 knots, submerged 17 knots.
Range 6.915 miles by 8 knots snorting, 460 miles at 3 knots dived.
Armament: 6 bow torpedo tubes 533mm, 18 type 53-77 wire guided E53-60 torpedoes.
Crew 52.
NUN pennant No 902 was laid down as B-224.
16 October 1992 launched.
Delivered 31 December 1992, in service 07 August 1993.

YUNES pennant No 903, laid down as B-219.
1993 Launched, 25 November 1996 delivered, and in service on 26 January 1997.

It is reported that this boats have operational difficulties. The class is based in Bandar Abbas, Iran.
