Panama 1939 (liner)

The Canal Zone 15 cents air mail stamp of 1939, shows the liner Panama, built in that year for Panama Railroad Steamships by the Bethlehem Steel Corporation at Quincy, Massachusetts. Her gross tonnage is 10,021 on dimensions 474.7ft. x 64.1ft. x 34.5ft. and she has twin-screws and is driven by four steam turbines and double-reduction gearing.
