Built as a cargo vessel with reefer capacity under yard No 504 by the yard of Robb Caledon at Leith, U.K. for account of the Local Government Council at Nauru (managed by the Nauru Pacific Line.)
19 Dec. 1968 launched under the name EIGAMOIYA, named after a Queen of Nauru, which lived circa 1888.
Tonnage 4.426 gross, 2.400 net, 5.955 dwt. Dim. 367.10 x 55.2 x 24.10ft. (draught), length bpp. 335.1ft.
Powered by two 6 cyl. Sulzer diesel engines, 5.040 bhp., speed 15 knots.
Passenger accommodation for 12 passengers.
April 1969 completed.

Used in the service between Nauru, Majuro, Tarawa and Australia and sometimes New Zealand. At that time she was the flagship of the company.
1980 Transferred to the Nauru Corporation (Victoria) Inc. Nauru.
1989 Made a voyage from Nauru to Lyttleton where she arrived 18 September.
1991 Given as laid up at Melbourne, with engine trouble and is for sale.
25 March 1993 sailed from Melbourne from lay-up. Was renamed by Lassos Shipping Corporation, Nauru in CHRYSANTHI and transferred to Belize Registry. (Most probably the company was renamed, nowhere can I find that she was sold.)
27 June 1994 sailed from Bangkok bound for Colombo, and after reporting on 08 August 1994 during bad weather, disappeared. Noting has been found of the ship and crew.
