The Pitcairn was a 2-masted schooner built in 1890, the vessel of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, U.S.A., which, after calling at Pitcairn Island, took letters from the islanders to their relatives on Norfolk Island on November 25, 1890, and for about 10 years plied between Pitcairn, Norfolk and San Francisco. The schooner is also referred to in the "Crown Agents Bulletin" (June 1967) as the Pitcairn Island.
