SHINSEI MARU No 18.
Built as a cargo vessel by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Kobe for Hara Shoji K.K., Osaka.
Launched as SHINSEI MARU No. 18 (the stamp omit No 18)
Tonnage 2.711 gross, 4.268 dwt., dim. 98.4 x 13.7m., length bpp 93.1m.
One triple expansion steam engine, ?hp, speed 11 knots.
July 1941 completed.
Taken over by the Japanese Navy and used as a transport.
31 March 1944 sunk after air attacks of American aircraft.
Most probably after the war salvaged, Miramar Ship Index gives.
Lloyds 1955/56 did not mention her under the name SHINSEI MARU No 18
1967 Renamed YU PAO.
Fourth quarter 1969 broken up at Kaohsiung, Taiwan.
On Palau 1995 32c sg 856.
