The cargo ship Lidice, owned by the "Cechofracht" Shipping Corporation, of Prague. Her gross tonnage is 5,659 (net 2,732) on dimensions 457 ft 8 in. x 57 ft. 11 in. x 26, ft. 0 in. Built in 1954 by Wartsila Kon. Crichton-Vulcan, and driven by an M.A.N. oil engine, she is named after the mining village razed by Germany in the last war and is the first ship of Czechoslovakia's postwar merchant fleet.
