The Comandante Camilo Cienfuegos, owned by the Republic of Cuba and under the management of the Empresa Navegacion Mambisa, Manzanillo. Built by Stocznia Gdanska, at Gdansk in 1962, she has a length of 504 ft. 11 in.; breadth 63 ft. 7 in., and draft of 27 ft.2 in. A motorship, she is powered by a 6-cylinder Suizer oil engine developing 7,800 b.h.p. The vessel previously appeared on a 2c. Cuban stamp in 1964, and her name had been shortened on the ship's side on that particular stamp because the artist could not get it all in; the stamp was not long enough. SG2320
