Launched under the name PIONIER.
Tonnage 622 gross, 562 net, dim. 166 (bpp) x 33 x 18ft.
1919 completed.
After World War I she made several voyages to Europe, but after the shipping situation improved, she was laid up in Curaçao.
1930 Unrigged and practical hulked.
The 1967 stamp is to commemorating the 60th anniversary of “Onze Vloot” (Our Fleet), a society which promotes the Dutch Navy and merchant marine, and provides assistance to Dutch seamen.
Netherlands Antilles 1967 10c sg 487, scott 309. (Stanley Gibbons collect ships on stamps give the name PIONEER but that is wrong.)
