WILANOW ferry

Built as a passenger- car ferry under yard No 646 by Werft Nobiskrug, Rendsburg, Germany for A/B Bonnierföretagen, Halmstad, Sweden.
26 January 1966 launched under the name KRONPRINS CARL GUSTAF, four sisters PRINS BERTIL, GUSTAV VASA, INNISFALLEN and MUNSTER.
Tonnage 4.020 grt, 1.666 net, 890 dwt. Dim. 110.20 x 17.63 x 6.70m., draught 4.37m. Length bpp. 99.7m.
Powered by four 18-cyl. MAN diesels, 11.400 bhp., twin screws, pitch propellers, speed maximum 21.75 knots. 1 bow-thruster.
Passenger accommodation for 900 passengers, 284 berths, and can carry 154 cars.
Ice strengthened.
Fitted out with a bow and stern ramp.
12 May 1966 delivered to owners. Managed by the Lion Ferry.

14 May 1966 in the service between Halmstad-Köpenham and Travemünde.
December 1966 the service ceased.
From 09 January 1967 in cooperation with the Trave Line used in the service from Helsingborg-Köpenhamn and Travemünde.
21 January 1969 the cooperation between the two companies ended.
22 January 1969 chartered out to SJ, Malmö for the service between Malmö and Travemünde.
1971 Ownership transferred to Lion Ferry Ab, Halmstad, Sweden.
1972 Chartered by Rederi Ab Öresund, Malmö and used in the service of Öresundsbolaget between Malmö and Travemünde.

April 1975 Sold to Polish Ocean Line, Gdynia, Poland and renamed WILANOW.
Used in the service between Ystad to Swinoujscie.
1977 Transferred to Poska Zeluga Baltycka, Kolobrzeg and used in the service between Swinoujscie to Røne -Ystad and Köpenhamn.
1979 till 1997 used in the service between Köpenhamn – Swinoujscie or from Travemünde – Köpenhamn or Nynäshamn/Oxelösund – Gdynia.

1991 Refitted at the Gdansk Shipyard at Gdansk and berths increased to 396.
Tonnage 6.474 grt., 2.999 net, 1.118 dwt.
05 January 1997 laid up at Gdansk.
April 1997 sold to S.E.M.Maritime Inc., Panama and renamed SPLIT 1700.
17 May 1997 sailed from Gdansk bound for the Adriatic.
June 1997 in the service between Split and Ancona.
1999 Used in the service between Vis – Hvar – Ancona.

2008 as given by http://www.equasis.org IMO No. 6606234 same name her registered owner given as Blue Line International, Panama and managed by Blue Line Europe APS, Rodovre, Denmark.

Sold by Blue Line International Inc., Panama to Indian breakers and arrived Alang 02 December 2010.
11 December 2010 beached.
