Built as a cargo vessel under yard No. 392 by Scott’s Shipbuilding & Eng.. Co. Ltd. in Greenock, U.K. for the Indian SS. Co. Ltd. (managed by J. Gardiner & Co.), Glasgow.
17 June 1905 launched under the name GLENLYON.
Tonnage 4.149 gross, dim. 377.0 x 49.5ft.
One triple expansion steam engine, service speed 10 knots.
August 1905 delivered to owners.
She made at least one voyage to Australia, arrived 25 April 1910 at Fremantle.
She was lost on a voyage from Delagoa Bay to Karachi, loaded with coal on 31 May 1913 on the Aldabra Island, Seychelles.
