3 Masted Ship Barquentine rigged built in 1904,by Greenock &
Grangemount Dockyard for AC Freitas & Co Haamburg. 2,005gtns. L. 82m.
BH.12m. Dr.7.3m. Crew of Captain, 3 Mates, Bosun, Carpenter, Cook,
Steward, 8 sailors and 18 cadets. Cadets had to pay to be aboard no wages.
At the end of WW1 she was in Chile, she delivered a cargo of saltpetre to
Ostende in 93 days. She had been ceded to France as War reparations. In
1922 France sold her to Hugo Lunqvist. She was scrapped in 1935. Her
figurehead is at the Greenwich Maritime Museum.
