The stamp issued in 2004 by Chile for the Telecomunicaciones Navales depict three warships of the Tiger class fast attack missile craft, type 148.
Four ships of this class were in service in 2004 by the Chilean Navy, which is depict I can not tell.
The four ships are the TENIENTE URIBE, TENIENTE ORELLA, GUARDIAMARINARIQUEME and TENIENTE SERRANO.
The class is a modification of the French La Combattante II design for the Bundesmarine in Germany.
The La Combattante had been designed by Lürssen of Germany for Israel but was built in France, for political reasons.
Eight of the crafts were laid down at Constructions Mécanniques de Normandie (CMN), Cherbourg but completed by Lürssen.
At first the craft did not receive names only numbers, but these were introduced later at the insistence of the crews.

The class received major updates in 1982-1984 and 1990-1992,

When the Cold War was over and there was less tension between the NATO and Russia, Germany decided to reduce the fast attack crafts, and the class was decommissioned, then sold or scrapped.
