Built for the USA Navy as a supply vessel for the service between the U.S. Naval Base South Hampton to the Argus Weather Tower in a position about 20 miles from Bermuda. (Tower is also named Texas Tower on Argus Bank and has now been removed.)

Tonnage 57grt, dim. 64 x 18 x 5.6ft. (draught)
Powered by two GM 6-11diesels each 300 hp, twin screws, speed 10 knots.
1956 completed.
May 1967 bought by the Bermuda Biological Station and refitted in a research vessel.
Crew 2 and 6 scientists.
She was in service for 14 years by the station.
Fate unknown.
