Built under yard no 383 by the Husumer Schiffswerft GmbH & Co. KG, Husum, Germany for the Government of Mauritius.
25 May 1990 launched under the name MAURITIUS PRIDE.
Tonnage 5.234 gross, 1.570 net, 4.843 dwt., dim. 99.50 x 17.01 x 6.49m (draught). Length between pp 91.25m.
Powered by two MAN-B&W Alpha medium speed oil engines, each 1.980 kW, speed 14.5 knots. Two controllable pitch propellers. Bunker capacity 320 tons.
For a high degree of maneuverability she has one 345 kW bow thruster and two Becker flap rudders.
Passenger accommodation for 12 first class passengers in two berth cabins with en-suite facilities, and 248 tourist passengers which are provided with aircraft-type seats in four attractive lounges, the crew of 12 officers and six petty officers have a single berth cabin, while the 12 hands and 4 cadets are provided with two-berth cabins.

Arrived for the first time 20 August 1990 in Mauritius. Special built for trading in the Indian Ocean.
Containers, palletized goods, general cargo are carried in three holds. The two holds before the superstructure has a tweendeck, the after hold is smaller in size, and has only an upperdeck.
She can carry 38 TEU’s on deck and 41 TEU’s in the holds. There are sockets available for 16 reefer containers.
No 1 upper hold is design for the carriage of 12 cars, while the two remaining upperholds are arranged for the carriage of livestock utilizing demountable pens for 301 cattle, 602 pigs, 1.480 sheep or a mixture of animals. The livestock is loaded and discharged over a hydraulically operated side ramp on the port side. This ramp can also used by the two forklift trucks on board for loading palletized cargo.
Loading and discharging is by three electro-hydraulic deck cranes of 5, 16 and 32 tonnes capacity.
Double bottom tanks can be used for the transport of 70 tons vegetable oil.

Her principal calling ports are Port Louis in Mauritius, nearby Rodrigues Island and Reunion Island, Agaliga and Madagascar.

2014 Sold to Sals Shipping PVT LTD. Mumbai, India and under Tanzanian flag and registry, renamed MALDIVES PRIDE.
2016 Sold to Sontech Enterprises Ltd., Mumbai, under Tanzania flag and registry renamed SOBAT.

18 February 2017 arrived Gadani Beach and scrapping commenced on 11 March 2017.
