Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 484 by Grangemouth Dockyard, Grangemouth, U.K. for the Empresa Insulana de NavegaƧao, Lisbon.
01 December 1948 launched under the name TERCEIRENSE.
Tonnage 1.295 grt., 656 net, 1.565 dwt., dim. 250.4 x 40.2 x 22.3ft.
Powered by two 8-cyl. oil engines 4SA, manufactured by Mirrlees, Bickerton&Day Ltd. ?hp, speed ?
The holds were fitted out with large ventilators, for fresh fruit and vegetables to keep it in good condition, or the transport of cattle.
May 1949 completed.

Used in the service between Lisbon and Azores.
17 January 1969 in the early morning she grounded near Carapacho, and lost her rudder and sustaining cracks in No 3 hold, she sank around noon off Praia Graciosa, Azores.
Her crew was saved.
