An article in Jahrbuch der Schffahrt 1986 deals with the Yugoslavian shipbuilding industry, with the article is a photo which depict the MONTERREY. After this photo the stamp is most probably designed. Ship on photo and stamp are the same.

Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 1417 by Brodograddilste Split at Split, Yugoslavia for account of Transportacion Maritime Mexicana S.A., Veracruz, Mexico.
11 July 1970 launched as the MONTERREY.
Tonnage 12.611 grt, 7.260 net, 15.875 dwt, dim. 172.2 x 23.8 x 13.2m., draught 13.2m, length bpp. 162.2m.
Powered by one diesel engine, 20.300hp, one shaft, speed ?
Container capacity 415 TEU’s.
July 1971 completed.

1986 Sold to Tula Navigation Ltd., Panama, renamed TULA.

03 Jan. 1987, with a general cargo from Tampico to Genoa, she suffered hull damage and a flooded engine room by a hole in her hull of 2 by 4ft., when an alternator exploded and disintegrated while she was berthed at Alabama State Docks, Mobile. She settled on the bottom. She was beyond economical repair and has been sold to Taiwan ship breakers.
Tonnage given then as 11.395 BRT, dim. 173.08 x 23.86 x 13.19m.
She was broken up at Kaohsiung, where she arrived under tow on 19 Oct. 1987.
