The container vessel depict in the border of this Morocco MS is identified by Mr Peter Crichton as the SANTA CARLOTTA.

Built as a container vessel under yard No 1314 by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd. Geoje Shipyard, Geoje, South Korea for Kommanditgesellshaft MS “Santa Carlotta” Offen Reederei GmbH & Co., Hamburg, Germany. Managed by Reederei Claus Peter Offen GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg.
29 May 2000 keellaying.
03 September 2000 launched as the SANTA CARLOTTA.
Tonnage 37.113 grt, 18.650 net, 40.018 dwt., dim. 243.15 x 32.20 x 15.59m., draught 11.5m., length bpp. 231.35m.
Powered by a one 7-cyl. two stroke single acting 7 RTA 84 C diesel engine, manufactured by Samsung Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., 28.360 kW. single shaft, speed 22 knots.
One Nakashima bow-thruster, 1300 kW. forward.
Four cranes for loading/discharging each 45 tons.
Container capacity 3400 TEU’s including 800 twenty feet reefer containers.
November 2000 completed. Germany register

Most probably for a charter with P&O Nedlloyd after delivery renamed in P&O NEDLLOYD OLINDA.
2005 Renamed in SANTA CARLOTTA by owners.
2006 Register transferred to Liberian flag.
2008 Was she used by the Maersk Line for the service between Algeciras to West Africa.
2009 In service as given by http://www.equasis.org IMO No 9210050 same owners.

2011 Sold to Arae Shipping Ltd., Liberia and renamed CARLOTTA STAR.
2014 Sold to Malvern Shipping Ltd-IOM, Athens, Greece, not renamed.
2015 Same name and owner. Liberia flag and registry.
